A4095 (North Leigh) Proposed 40mph Speed Limit & No Entry Restriction

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make changes to the speed limit & access arrangements on the A4095 Witney to Woodstock Road in North Leigh. The proposals are being put forward in response to the adjacent development works at 'North Lodge', which comprise of the construction of a new access road onto the A4095. Specifically the proposals comprise of the following measures:

  • 40mph speed limit - extend the existing limit south-westwards for 95 metres, replacing the current 50mph speed limit by the same amount,
  • 'No Entry' prohibition - to the new road adjacent to ‘North Lodge’ for traffic travelling on the A4095 from either direction, the new access road will allow for exit only onto the A4095.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.312) to the address below by 30 April 2021. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.
