HIF2 A40 Smart Corridor

Welcome to the HIF2 A40 Smart Corridor public engagement
We’re improving the A40 between Witney and Oxford to deliver safer and more reliable travel options for those who rely on it for work, leisure and economic success.

We’re investing in six major schemes, two of which have already progressed past the consultation phase (Eynsham Park and Ride and Oxford North) and more information is available about these on the improving the A40 pages of the county council’s website.

We now invite your views on four remaining schemes. In this consultation you can find out more and have your say on the three A40 HIF2 Smart Corridor Schemes:

  • A40 Dual Carriageway Extension
  • A40 Integrated Bus Lanes
  • A40 Dukes Cut.

The Access to Witney scheme has its own consultation, which is running at the same time as this one. You can find it on the county council’s consultation portal here.

Recognising advice from government on COVID-19 safety, it is not possible to hold a public drop-in exhibition on the plans. Instead, the council is holding online engagement sessions to present the proposals and provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions and offer comments.

  • the exhibition is open from 12 noon on Monday 10 May to 23:59 on Monday 7 June
