Marston North Area (Oxford) Administrative Amendments to Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ)

Following approval given in October 2020 & subsequent implementation of the Marston North CPZ (see here) Oxfordshire County Council is proposing to make amendments to the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO). Specifically the amendments comprise of the following:

  1. Horseman Close, Dents Close, Clay Close and Jessops Close will include parking places for permit holders (of Zone Addresses) between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. The parking places are available for non-permit holders who are restricted to 2-hour parking between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday with no return within 2 hours - to align with the rest of the zone.
  2. Additionally, to conform with the existing ‘Prohibition of Driving’ restriction in Elms Drive (which will remain unchanged), Elms Drive may only be used by residents of, and visitors to that road.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: AK.12.6.320) to the address below by 16 April 2021. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2021 (the Forward Plan of decisions meetings can be viewed here). The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
