Various Roads (Oxford) Development Parking Amendments (April 2021)

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to alter the current Controlled Parking Zone Traffic Regulation Orders by: a) amending the eligibility for occupants and residents of the new developments to obtain residents or visitors parking permits, and b) altering the existing parking restrictions. These proposals are being put forward in response to the planning permissions have been granted by Oxford City Council for residential units on the basis that these should not be occupied until a Traffic Regulation Order has been changed to confirms this. It is therefore proposed:

  • to amend eligibility of the following properties to apply for Residents & Visitors Parking Permits:
Summertown area  Victoria Road - exclude (Flats 1 – 6) No.57 from eligibility to apply for residents & visitors parking permits.
North Summertown area  Davenant Road - exclude Nos.45 & 45A from eligibility to apply for residents & visitors parking permits.
Headington Central area  Osler Road - exclude Nos.18 & 18A from eligibility to apply for residents & visitors parking permits.
East Oxford area  Marston Street - Nos.47, 48, 48A & 49 to be limited to apply for 1 residents permit per property & standard number of visitor permits.
Princess Street - exclude the 12 new dwellings at site of No.44 from eligibility to apply for residents & visitors parking permits.
Collins Street - exclude the 14 new dwellings at site of No.5 from eligibility to apply for residents & visitors parking permits.
Cowley Marsh area Glanville Road - exclude the 9 new dwellings at the site of Ashlar House from eligibility to apply for residents & visitors parking permits.

  • to amend parking restrictions at the following location as follows::
North Summertown area

Blandford Avenue  - extend the existing Double Yellow Lines outside No.38 Blandford Avenue by 6.5 metres, reducing the existing two hour parking bay (permit holders exempt) by the same amount.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.320) to the address below by 30 April 2021.
