Expansion of Blessed George Napier Catholic School

Blessed George Napier Catholic School, supported by Oxfordshire County Council, is proposing to expand from 847 places to approximately 1,250 places. Subject to this consultation and approval by the Regional Schools Commissioner, the admission number would then permanently increase to 210 for September 2023, by which time a capital project to provide additional accommodation at the school should be completed.

This expansion is one strand of a strategic programme to provide sufficient secondary school places for the growing population in and around Banbury. This includes the recent expansion of The Warriner School in Bloxham, and a future new secondary school in Banbury, for which a site has been identified in the Cherwell Local Plan.

Further details of this proposal are available in the school's consultation leaflet
