A361 Banbury Road southern end (Wardington) Proposed 30mph Speed Limit Extension

Following an earlier consultation carried out in November/December 2018 (for details click here), Oxfordshire County Council now proposes to make additional changes to the speed limit on the A361 Banbury Road in Wardington. The changes are for road safety reasons and to specifically help mitigate the increase in traffic (specifically HGVs) linked to the HS2 construction works:

  • A361 Banbury Road - to extend the 30mph speed limit at the south end* of the village by 73 metres, reducing the length of the existing 50mph speed limit by the same amount.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM.12.6.393) to the address below by 22 May 2020. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2020. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.

This consultation has now closed and feedback is available.
