A4074 Sandford By-pass (Sandford-on-Thames) Proposed 50mph Speed Limit & U-turn Ban

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the following changes in response to the continued development of land to the east side of the A4074 Sandford bypass south of Heyford Hill roundabout, the following measures are proposed:

  1. to extend the 50mph limit on the A4074 dual-carriageway southwards by 250 metres, reducing the existing national speed limit (70mph) by the same amount, and
  2. to prohibit U-turns on the A4074 in either direction at a new signalled junction being constructed to give access to the development.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.335) to the address below or by completing the online questionnaire by 28 July 2017. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2017. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
