A4130 Bosley Way (Cholsey) Proposed Parking Restrictions & No Right Turn

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the changes to traffic managment on the A4130 Bosley Way in Cholsey, in response to the granting of permission for a new sand & gravel extraction site and the construction of a new access junction. Thehe following measures are therefore proposed:

  1. the introduction in of double yellow lines (‘No Waiting at Any Time’) on the A4130 Bosley Way, southwest side, from a point 160 metres northwest of its roundabout junction with Wallingford Road, north-westwards for 190 metres. This will cover the access/exit `slip roads` at the new T-junction serving the gravel extraction site, and
  2. For safety reasons, there will be a triangular island constructed at the junction and signage preventing Right Turns into and from the site. Vehicles leaving the site will be required to turn left only.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email, or in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.167) to the address below by 22 February 2019. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2019. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
