A422 Stratford Road (Banbury/Drayton) Proposed 30mph Speed Limit

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to reduce the existing speed limit on the A422 at the Banbury Town – Drayton Parish border for road safety reasons due to the adjacent residential development. Specifically, the proposal comprises of:

  • A422 Stratford Road - extend the existing 30mph speed limit leading westwards from Banbury by 55 metres, reducing the current length of 40mph speed limit by the same amount.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM.12.6.120) to the address below by 30 October 2020. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2020 or early 2021. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
