A4421 Buckingham Road (Bicester) Proposed Toucan Crossing

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to introduce the following feature on the A4421 Buckingham Road in northern Bicester, with the aim of improving road safety for pedestrians and pedal cyclists in the vicinity of the Bicester Heritage residential development:

A Toucan crossing (signal-controlled crossing for use by both pedestrians and pedal cyclists) at the following location:

  • A4421 Buckingham Road – approx. 25* metres southwest of its junction with Skimmingdish Lane.

* All dimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the feature

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM.12.6.129) to the address below by 15 November 2019. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2019 or early in 2020. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
