River Evenlode Bridge (Ascott-under-Wychwood) Proposed Traffic Calming

Sorry! This consultation is not open so you cannot respond.

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to construct the following traffic calming measure on the bridge crossing the River Evenlode north-west of the 'entrance' to Ascott-under-Wychwood village - this is being proposed in order to assist the safe movement of traffic and help improve road safety in the area:

  • A signed & lined (i.e. no physical constructions) priority working for traffic crossing the bridge; with priority given to traffic travelling north-westwards out of the village. Vehicles travelling south-east towards the village will be required to give way to oncoming traffic.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email, or in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.111) to the address below by 15 February 2019. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2019. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
