B4017 Abingdon Road (Drayton) Proposed Zebra Crossing & Traffic Calming

The County Council is consulting on a proposal to introduce a new Zebra crossing across the B4017 Abingdon Road in Drayton . The crossing will assist people who need to cross in the vicinity of the new residential development.

The crossing* is proposed to be centered at the following location:

  • B4017 Abingdon Road - approximately 12 metres north of its junction with Hilliats Field.

* The crossing would be sited on an extended flat top road hump with a nominal height of 50mm and ramp gradients of 1:30 which would be constructed along the B4017 Abingdon Road between (and including) its junctions with Hilliat Fields and a proposed new junction giving access to a proposed new residential development on the east side of the road approximately 30 metres north of the Hilliat Fields junction.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire  or by writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.192) to the address below by 18 August 2017. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2017. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
