B4047 Burford Road (Minster Lovell) Proposed 40mph Speed Limit

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to - as a result of the development of land at the western end of Minster Lovell, adjacent to the B4047 Burford Road on the southern side - extend the existing 40mph speed limit (in place of the existing 'unrestricted' 60mph limit). Due to the construction of a new access road onto the B4047 it is proposed that the new limit will lessen the danger for traffic moving into and from the new junction. Specifically the proposal comprises of:

  • B4047 Burford Road - extend the 40mph speed limit south-westwards by 215 metres to cover the new development area (in place of the current `unrestricted` 60mph limit).

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.302) to the address below by 12 July 2019. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2019. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
