B4100 London Road (Bicester) - Proposed Toucan Crossing and Cycleway

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to construct the following features on the B4100 London Road, to help improve pedestrian and pedal cyclist safety in the area:

A Toucan crossing (signal-controlled crossing for use by both pedestrians and pedal cyclists) at the following location:

  • B4100 London Road  – approx. 130* metres south of its junction with Flanders Close.

The existing footway to be converted to a 3-metre-wide cycleway at the following locations:

  • B4100 London Road (both sides) - from its roundabout junction with Mallards Way southeast to a point approx. 85* metres north of its roundabout junction with the A41
  • Subject to funding - the link footpath from the B4100 to the A41, along the north side of the A41, eastwards to the roundabout for a distance of approx. 195* metres.

* All dimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the feature.
