B4100 Warwick Road (Banbury) Proposed 30mph Speed Limit & Toucan Crossing

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the following changes for road safety reasons in response to the residential development of land adjacent to the B4100 Warwick Road, in the north-west of Banbury:

  • to extend the 30mph speed limit as follows:
    • B4100 Warwick Road - northwards to the roundabout junction with Dukes Meadow, in place of the current 40mph limit.

It is also being proposed to construct the following traffic feature as detailed below:

  • a Toucan Crossing (a signalled crossing for use by pedestrians and pedal cyclists) centred at the following location:
    • B4100 Warwick Road: approximately 30 metres north of Firtree Close.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire or by writing (quoting ref: AK/12.6.120) to the address below by 06 October 2017. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2017. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
