B4493 Wantage Road (Didcot) Proposed Toucan Crossing & Cycle-way

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the following changes in response to the adjacent residential development of Great Western Park:

  • To install a Toucan crossing (a signal controlled crossing for use by both pedestrians and pedal cyclists) on the B4493 Wantage Road, approx. 25 metres east of its junction with Oxford Crescent,
  • To construct a shared-use cycle-way on the northern footway adjacent to the B4493 Wantage Road, between its junctions with the western junction with Abingdon Terrace, eastwards to Foxhall Road, a distance of approx. 650 metres.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.120) to the address below by 10 June 2016. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting, with the papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
