Bicester (Various Roads) Proposed Parking Restrictions

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to introduce various waiting restrictions in several  locations within Bicester, The proposals have come about due to concerns raised over parked vehicles obstructing visibility at junctions, and the restriction of the passage of traffic. In order to continue its responsibility to consider the provision of convenient and safe movement of motor vehicles and other traffic the Council is proposing the following restrictions to parking:

  • to introduce new and/or extend existing Prohibition of Waiting at Any Time (Double Yellow Lines - DYLs),
  • to introduce No Waiting 8am – 6pm Monday to Saturday,
  • to introduce No Waiting 11am –12 noon Monday to Friday,
  • to introduce No Waiting 12pm – 1pm Monday to Friday.

* for further detail of which roads are affected by the various proposals please refer to the public notice.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in writing (quoting ref: ADK/DT.12.6.129) to the address below by 21 October 2016. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting on 24 November 2016. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
