Budget Consultation 2019/20

Plan to remove proposal for reductions in contributions to Oxfordshire’s mental health budget

Important update:

**A proposal to change Oxfordshire County Council’s contribution level to budgets held by the NHS for mental health has been significantly changed in response to public feedback. Click on this link for full details.**

Oxfordshire County Council provides 80 per cent of the local government services by expenditure in the county, including adult and children’s social care, some education services, fire and rescue, libraries and museums, roads, trading standards, waste disposal and recycling.

The county council will set a new budget on 12 February 2019.  In this consultation, we are asking people for their views on the following to feed into the budget setting process.

  • Our budget proposals
  • On our proposed council tax level for 2019/20

Please take the time to read this consultation booklet and have your say. Our news package also provides helpful information. You may also wish to review the council's full budget proposals and supporting information that will be considered by the Performance Scrutiny Committee, Thursday 13 December 2018.
