Camp Road (Upper Heyford) Proposed Traffic Calming & Pedestrian Crossing Point

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to construct the following traffic calming features for road safety reasons in Upper Heyford in response to development within the area:

On Camp Road:

  • Approx. 30 metres west of its junction with Kirtlington Road, two kerbed build-outs (approximately 15m long) will be constructed on either side of the road, narrowing the carriageway to a single lane,
  • the existing traffic island located approximately 60m east of the junction with Kirtlington Road will be converted into a pedestrian crossing point.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.388) to the address below by 02 March 2018. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2018. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
