Camp Road (Upper Heyford) Proposed Zebra Crossing & Raised Table Calming Feature

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make changes on Camp Road in Upper Heyford in order to improve road safety in the vicinity of the new residential development. Specifically, the changes comprise of the following:

  • Construction of a Zebra Crossing - a controlled crossing for use by pedestrians only, to be located on Camp Road approx 25* metres east of the junction with Wellington Road on the following feature:
  • Raised table – will be approx. 25m long with a nominal height of 100mm and ramp gradients of 1:12 to 1:15.

* alldimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the feature.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM.12.6.227) to the address below by 28 August 2020. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2020. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
