Wallingford Road (Cholsey) Proposed Traffic Calming

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to construct traffic calming features on Wallingford Road. The proposals are being put forward for road safety reasons in response to the adjacent residential development, consisting of two speed cushions on each side of the carriageway, with each cushion being approx. 3.7m long, 1.6m wide and 75mm high, to be located approximately:

  • 15 metres* south of the juction with Goldfinch Lane
  • 75 metres* north of the junction with Goldfinch Lane
  • 155 metres* south of the junction with Old Blackalls Drive
  • 70 metres* south of the junction with Old Blackalls Drive 

* All dimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the feature.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: JaC.12.6.167) to the address below by the 8 February 2019. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting in March/April 2019. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
