Oxford Road (Cumnor) Proposed 30mph Speed Limit

Following approval for the proposals to significantly extend the existing 30mph speed limit on Cumnor Hill to cover its entire length in June/July (for details click here)  Oxfordshire County Council is now proposing to make some additional amendments to the speed limits in the area, in order to improve road safety by having a continuous 30mph speed limit through and within the village. Specifically the proposals comprise of:

  • extending the new 30mph speed limit into Oxford Road for its entire length, with the existing 40mph being replaced as a result.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM.12.6.184) to the address below by 20 November 2020. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2020. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
