Highways Depot Service Road (Deddington) Proposed 30mph Speed Limit

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to reduce the speed limit on the roads in the vicinity of the Highways Depot in Deddington (south of Banbury), this is for road safety reasons in response to the proposed improvements to the Depot site:

  • on the Service Road (off of the A4260 Banbury Road) - for its entire length, in place of the current unrestricted 60mph speed limit, and
  • on the Milton Road - from its junction with the Service Road, northwards for approx. 65 metres.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.187) to the address below by 03 August 2018. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2018. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.

Please read the information provided on this consultation. Your views and opinions matter. Please take the time to respond.
