Oxfordshire Statement of Community Involvement

The County Council wants to make sure that anyone within an interest in Minerals, Waste and County Council developments within Oxfordshire has the opportunity to be actively and meaningfully involved.

Therefore, the Oxfordshire Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out the County Council’s policy, and the standards it will seek to achieve, for the preparation of the Minerals and Waste Local Plan as well as planning applications for Mineral, Waste and County Council developments.

The Oxfordshire Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) was previously consulted and adopted in 2015.Following some recent changes in planning laws and procedures, the Council has decided that the Statement of Community Involvement should be reviewed and updated.

This revised Draft SCI is now on consultation. Anyone who is interested can make comment and give us their thoughts. For ease, so that everyone can see the changes that have been made between the Statement of Community Involvement 2015 and the revised Draft Statement of Community Involvement 2019, we have underlined or deleted where amendments have been made.

Your views and opinions on the Draft SCI matter. Please take the time to respond. The consulatation closes on Wednesday 2nd October

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Minerals and Waste Planning Team

At the end of the document we ask for further details to enable us to understand what stakeholders have responded to the consultation. We also ask you if you wish to be kept informed of the adoption of the Statement of Community Involvement and the production of the Minerals and Waste Local Plan.

To view the consultation document and the other documents referred to throughout this questionnaire please see the documents section.

The comments received will be used to inform the preparation of the Statement of Community Involvement, which we hope to adopt by the end of 2019.  Click here to find out the latest information on the Oxfordshire Minerals and Waste Local Plan
