Edinburgh Way (Banbury) Proposed Traffic Calming

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to install traffic calming features along Edinburgh Way in western Banbury to reduce speeds and improve road safety in the area as part of phase 2 of the 'Bretch Hill' residential development. The proposals will comprise of the following:

  • Seven pairs of speed cushions* at intervals along Edinburgh Way - from a point 42.5 metres east of its junction with Edinburgh Close west and southwards to a point 55 metres east of its junction with Caernarvon Way (southern junction).

* Each cushion to be approximately 3.7m long, 1.7m wide and with a maximum height of 75mm. 

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire or by writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.120) to the address below by 12 January 2018. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting early in 2018. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
