 Equality Policy and Objectives 2018 - 2022 Consultation

Oxfordshire County Council is committed to the principles of equality, diversity, fairness and inclusion. As a public authority, we have legal duty under the Equality Act to:

  • Stop and prevent unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation
  • Keep working to improve and promote equal opportunities
  • Encourage and maintain good relationships between people with protected characteristics and those without.

Protected characteristics are: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion and/or beliefs, sex and sexual orientation.

Oxfordshire County Council held an Equality Policy and Objectives consultation from 29 January to 11 March 2018 to help us review and refresh our Equality Policy and develop new objectives.
