Godstow Road & Mill Road (Oxford) Proposed Parking Restrictions

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to introduce new lengths of parking restrictions on sections of road in the Wolvercote area of Oxford. They are being proposed in response to the development of adjacent land, concerns over traffic movement due to current on street waiting, the need to remove obstructions to vehicles as well as for road safety reasons:

'No waiting at any time' (double-yellow lines):

  • Godstow Road - to extend coverage to include, on the south and east sides, from property Nos.131/133 north then eastwards for a distance of 108 metres,
  • Mill Road - south side from its junction with Godstow Road westwards for 28 metres; and on the north side for a distance of 60 metres,
  • Unnamed road - leading northwards from Mill Road to the new development, on both sides for a distance of 24 metres.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email, or in writing (quoting ref: AK/CM12.6.320) to the address below by 23 March 2018. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2018. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
