Hollow Way North Area (Oxford) Proposed Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) Amendments

Following the consultation carried out in February/March 2020 (for details click here) regarding the proposal to introduce a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) within the within the Hollow Way North area,  Oxfordshire County Council is now proposing various amendments following suggestions received during the consultation period, which the Council will now consider further. Specifically, the amendments comprise of the following:

New proposals:

  • Brasenose Driftway, Craufurd Road, Ridley Road & Rupert Road - it is proposed to introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time parking restrictions (Double Yellow Lines) on both sides of these roads in the vicinity of their junctions with Horspath Road,
  • St Francis Court - is more appropriately placed to be listed within the Lye Valley order and will be transferred from the Hollow Way Order. It is also proposed to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions on both sides of St Francis Court at its junction with Hollow Way. The permitted parking measures and application procedures will be unchanged. There is to be a corresponding change to the descriptions of the Stated Areas of the 2 Zones to recognize this change.
  • Operators of Hotels and Guest Houses for properties at addresses within the Zone. will be eligible to apply for visitor`s permits costing £1 each.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email, or in writing (quoting ref: K/CM/HollowWayNorth) to the address below by 28 August 2020. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections are planned be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2020. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
