Horsemere Lane (Cassington) Proposed Road Closure

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to close the use of Horsemere Lane by motor vehicles in order to improve road safety and to reduce conflict with traffic on the A40 east of Cassington, the County Council is therefore proposing to:

  1. prohibit the use of motor vehicles on Horsemere Lane between Bell Lane and the A40,
  2. remove the one-way traffic status, and
  3. revoke the 5 tonne Weight Limit order (as it is removed from road status).

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email, or in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.152) to the address below by 08 February 2019. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2019. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
