Kingston Road (Oxford) Proposed Traffic Calming Feature

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to construct the following feature to help improve road safety on Kingston Road in Oxford, following concerns raised by the local County Cllr and residents

  • A kerbed build-out traffic calming feature (approx. 10m long & 2m wide) to replace the existing hatched white lining on the northbound side of Kingston Road, south of the junction with Southmoor Road/Farndon Road.
    • The build-out will include reflectorized bollards and be accompanied by a ‘skewed’ white warning line along the carriageway through the junction.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire or by writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.320) to the address below by 02 August 2019. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2019. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
