Middleton Stoney Road (Bicester) Proposed Toucan Crossing

Following a previous consultaiton for a Puffin crossing (a signalled crossing for use by pedestrians), details found here: https://consultations.oxfordshire.gov.uk/consult.ti/MSRBicesterPuffin/consultationHome

note: NO objections were received during this consultation, and as such the Puffin crossing will be able to be progressed if appropriate.

The County Council is now consulting on a proposal to instead introduce a new Toucan style crossing (a signaled crossing for use by pedestrians & cyclists) on Middleton Stoney Road in Bicester. The crossing will assist people wishing to access the new housing development & help improve pedestrian & pedal cyclist safety in the area:

The crossing is proposed to be centered at the following location:

  • Middleton Stoney Road - approx. 38 metres west of its roundabout junction with Newton Close.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.129) to the address below or by completing the online questionnaire by 22 December 2017. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting early in 2018. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.

This consultation has now closed.
