Exploring perspectives on attending NHS Health Checks

The NHS Health Check is for adults aged 40-74. It's designed to spot early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes or dementia.

About 50% of those that are invited in Oxfordshire attend, but in men aged 40-55 uptake is lower. Therefore, Oxfordshire County Council is working with the Behavioural Insights Team (an independent research organisation) to better understand why these might choose to attend (or not). To achieve this, Oxfordshire County Council wish to organise interviews to hear about people’s thoughts, and experiences of, NHS Health Checks. The Behavioural Insights Team will then write a report based on their conversations and this will be used to do things different that help people attend, if they want to.

If you are interested in sharing your thoughts, please complete the following few questions to check you're eligible and register your details so they can be passed on. If selected, and once you have completed the phone call interview, the Behavioural Insights Team will confirm this with Oxfordshire County Council and Oxfordshire County Council will be in touch to get your preferred postal address to send the £25 high street voucher.
