Oxford Road (Horspath) Proposed 40mph Speed Limit & Parking/Loading Restrictions

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to introduce the following proposals in response to the local development occurring adjacent to Horspath/Oxford Road in Horspath; with the aim of preventing obstruction to through traffic, helping to improve the flow of traffic in the vicinity and generally making it safe for all other road users:

  1. to extend the existing 40mph speed limit:
    • on Oxford Road - eastwards for 150 metres, replacing the same length of the current NSL (50mph) limit,
  2. to extend the existing No Waiting at Any Time (double yellow lines) parking restrictions on:
    • Oxford Road - eastwards to the Horspath village boundary,
  3. to extend the existing Clearway (no stopping, waiting or loading) restrictions on:
    • Oxford Road - eastwards to the Horspath village boundary.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM.12.6.189) to the address below by 01 June 2018. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2018. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
