Pettiwell (Garsington) Proposed Parking Restrictions

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to introduce 'Double Yellow Lines' at the southern end of Pettiwell. This is aimed at regulating the on street waiting in the vicinity of the adjacent commercial premises, as well as ensuring that the County Council continues its responsibility to consider the provision of convenient and safe movement of motor vehicles and other traffic, and ensuring that danger to road users is minimised :

  • The introduction of double yellow lines - No Waiting at Any Time - north-eastwards from the Watlington Road junction, on both sides for 360 metres - except a short area (approx. 16 metres) directly outside the entrance to the Vehicle Dismantlers entrance.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in writing (quoting ref: AK/12.6.223) by 17 February 2017. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2017, the papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
