2017 Oxfordshire Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) Consultation

Oxfordshire Health and Wellbeing Board is required by law to draft and consult upon a review of the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) every three years in accordance with the National Health Service (Pharmaceutical and Local Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2013.

What is the Oxfordshire Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA)

The Oxfordshire PNA is designed to assess the current provision of pharmaceutical services across the county, take account of planned future growth or any other future circumstance where the current position may materially change, and identify any current and future gaps in pharmaceutical services.

Have your say

We want your views on the draft PNA and whether it addresses issues that you consider relevant to the provision of pharmaceutical services in Oxfordshire.

What happens to the consultation results?

The feedback gathered in this consultation  exercise will be reported and reflected in the final revised PNA report. that will be reported to the Health & Wellbeing board in sprint 2018.

The agreed PNA will assist NHS England in determining market entry applications by pharmacists for new, additional or relocated premises, and for any changes to pharmacy hours or pharmaceutical services.

This consultation has now closed and feedback is available.
