St Thomas Street, London Place & Marston Street (Oxford) Development Parking Permit Amendments

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to alter the current Controlled Parking Zone Traffic Regulation Orders by amending the eligibility for occupants and residents of the new developments to obtain residents or visitors parking permits. These proposals are being put forward in response to the planning permissions that have been granted for residential units on the basis that these should not be occupied until a Traffic Regulation Order has been changed to confirms this, also previously approved developments have not taken place, hence the planning provision no longer being relevant. It is therefore proposed:

  • to remove eligibility for residents at the following addresses to apply for Residents and Visitors Permits:
Central Oxford Area No.5 St Thomas Street


  • to reinstate eligibility for residents at the following addresses to apply for Residents and Visitors Permits:
East Oxford Area No.20 London Place,
Nos.2 & 3 Marston Street.


Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email, or in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.320) to the address below by 28 February 2020. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2020. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
