Swinbrook Village & Widford End Road (Swinbrook & Widford) Proposed 20mph & 30mph Speed Limits

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to change the speed limits within Swinbrook and Widford - as a result of concerns raised by the Parish Council - as follows:

  • to replace the existing 30mph speed limit throughout Swinbrook Village and northwards towards Shipton under Wychwood with a 20mph speed limit,
  •  to introduce a 30mph speed limit for the whole of the Widford End Road, and for approximately 175 metres either side of its junction with the Whitehill to Asthall road (currently unrestricted).

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.266) to the address below by 16 February 2018. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting in 2018. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
