Sydenham Road (Sydenham, Chinnor) Proposed Traffic Calming

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to construct the following traffic calming measure on the eastern entry to Sydenham village, this is being proposed in order to assist the safe movement of traffic and help improve road safety in the area:

  • Kerbed build-out (approx. 9m* long by 1.5m* wide): the build-out exiting the village will be on the south side of the carriageway approx. 18 metres* northeast of its junction with the field access opposite Windmill Cottage. Priority will be given to traffic travelling north-eastwards out of the village.

* All dimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the feature.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email, or in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.378) to the address below by 15 February 2019. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2019. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
