Upper Meadow (Oxford) Proposed Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ)

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to include Upper Meadow within the ‘Headington Quarry’ Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ). The proposals would enable residents of Upper Meadow (off of Old Road) to apply for residents & visitor parking permits in accordance with the requirements and eligibility restrictions for this zone.

Permits (including visitors) would only be required to park on the ‘public highway’, with any private driveways, allocated spaces & car parks being exempt from the requirement to display a permit. Permit holders would be allowed to park within any road within the CPZ as long as the local signed & lined restrictions are adhered to.

Additionally, Upper Meadow will be signed for use by 'residents and visitors only' and extra Double Yellow Lines (‘No Waiting at Any Time’) will be added to the junction entry to prevent unauthorised/inappropriate parking.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM.12.6.320) to the address below by 08 January 2021. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting early in 2021 (the Forward Plan of decisions meetings can be viewed here). The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
