Various Roads (Oxford) Parking Permit Eligibility Amendments

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to alter the current Controlled Parking Zone Traffic Regulation Orders by amending the eligibility for occupants and residents of the new developments to obtain residents or visitors parking permits. These proposals are being put forward in response to the planning permissions have been granted for residential units on the basis that these should not be occupied until a Traffic Regulation Order has been changed to confirms this. It is therefore proposed:

  • to exclude the following properties from availability to apply for Residents Parking Permits in accordance with planning permissions:
Headington West area London Road Nos.36-40
Magdalen Road North area Cowley Road No.226A
Girdlestone Road area Everard Close No.3
Walton Manor area North Parade Avenue Nos.4A and 4C.

  • to clarify eligibility for residents to apply for residents parking permits at No.84 Marlborough Road only. Residents at No.84 `Garden Flat` and `Upper Flat` may each apply for a maximum of one Parking Permit (plus visitors permits) per property.
  • there is also an administrative only correction to house numbering detailed in a schedule for a Permit Holders parking in St Marys Road, with no change in available parking.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email, or in writing (quoting ref: CM/12.6.320) to the address below by 21 December 2018. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting early in 2019. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
