Wendlebury Road (Chesterton) Proposed Parking Restrictions

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to introduce parking restrictions along Wendlebury Road in Chesterton in response to the development of the adjacent commercial facility, and to prevent obstruction in and around the new hotel access. The requirement for the traffic regulation order also results from the planning consents given for the new site. Specifically, the changes comprise of the following proposals:

  • Introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ parking restrictions (Double Yellow Lines) along the western side of Wendlebury Road for 215 metres north-eastwards from its junction with the link road to the A41/B4030 Vendee Drive roundabout.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: CM.12.6.161) to the address below by 13 November 2020. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in 2020 or early in 2021. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
