West Street (Oxford) Proposed Parking Restrictions (Residents bay amendment)

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the following changes to parking and waiting restrictions in Oxford, to enable the installation of a charging point for electric vehicles:

  • West Street - add an extra 5 metre long parking place for Residents Permits Holders* on the west side at the northern end.

* Any resident (holding a valid permit) will be able to utilise the extra space, regardless of vehicle type.

There is also added to the wording in the order, amendments to allow for future allocation of Car Club parking places within the Controlled Area, currently under consideration.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire or by writing or emailing (quoting ref: AK/CM/TRO.12.6.320) to the address below by 15 December 2017. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting later in early in 2018. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council’s website about a week before the meeting.
