White Post Road (Bodicote) - Proposed Toucan and Zebra Crossings

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to construct the following features on White Post Road, to help improve pedestrian and pedal cyclist safety in the area:

A Toucan crossing (signal-controlled crossing for use by both pedestrians and pedal cyclists) at the following location:

  • White Post Road  – approx. 152* metres south of its roundabout junction with Sycamore Drive, in place of the existing Puffin crossing.

A Tiger crossing (Zebra crossing with parallel cycle crossing facilities) at the following location:

  • White Post Road - approx. 75* metres south of its roundabout junction with Sycamore Drive.

* All dimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the feature.

Objections to the proposals and other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, may be sent in by completing the online questionnaire, via email or in writing (quoting ref: JaC.12.6.137) to the address below by 5 July 2019. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Any unresolved objections will be reported to the Council's Cabinet meeting in July/August 2019. The papers for the meeting will be available on the County Council's website a week before the meeting.
