Young People and Domestic Abuse

This October we’re undertaking an audit on local work with young people experiencing or using abusive behaviours in their own intimate relationships. We know that young people aged 16-19 experience domestic abuse at a higher rate than any other age group. Despite knowing the national prevalence, and having a really brilliant Domestic Abuse Partnership in Oxfordshire, we're finding it incredibly difficult to identify cases to be included within the audit.

We’d love to hear from services all across the County to learn more about how frequently domestic abuse is identified in young people's relationships, and how they're being supported. We're looking at young people under the age of 18, but there's no lower age limit.

Please don't feel any nervousness in your responses below. Our intention here isn't to criticise professional responses, but to gather information on awareness and use of the Oxfordshire Domestic Abuse Pathway for Young People to inform how we make this better known and more robust moving forward.

Please complete the questionnaire below - sharing whatever you can in whatever time you have available.

Thank you so much for your help and support.
