  • Exploring perspectives on attending NHS Health Checks

The NHS Health Check for adults aged 40-74. It's designed to spot early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes or dementia. About 50% of those that are invited in Oxfordshire attend, but in men aged 40-55 uptake is lower. Therefore, Oxfordshire County Council is working with the Behavioural Insights Team (an independent research organisation) to better understand why these might choose to attend (or not). To achieve this, Oxfordshire County Council wish to organise interviews to hear about people’s thoughts, and experiences of, NHS Health Checks. The Behavioural Insights Team will then write a report based on their conversations and this will be used to do things different that help people attend, if they want to. If you are interested in sharing your thoughts, please complete the following questions so your details can be passed on. For more information about how Oxfordshire County Council look after personal information, please see this Privacy Notice.
