A417 Reading Road (East Hendred) Proposed 30mph Speed Limit & Puffin Crossing Respond Online
Oxfordshire County Council proposes to install a 30mph speed limit (in place of the existing 40mph limit) on the A417 Reading Road through East Hendred, and to install a puffin crossing east of its junction with White Road to assist the safe movement of pedestrians. This is as a result of the development of land north of the A417 for residential purposes.

Hinton Waldrist Bridleway 9 - Gate consultation - 2016 Respond Online
In March 2010 Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) decided to install a lockable gate at the entrance to Hinton Waldrist Bridleway 9 which leads from Duxford to the ford in order to prevent the use of that bridleway by vehicular traffic and safeguard the public. OCC is currently seeking the views of anyone who is familiar with Bridleway 9 and/or has knowledge of how it is used in order to reach a view as to whether it is necessary to retain the gate for safety purposes.
