  • Various Roads (Oxford) Parking Permit Eligibility Amendments - May20

    Oxfordshire County Council proposes to amend the eligibility for occupants and residents at various developments to obtain residents or visitors parking permits. Planning permissions have been granted for residential units on the basis that these should not be occupied until a Traffic Regulation Order has been amended to confirm this.

  • Various City Centre Roads (Oxford) Proposed Pedal Cycle Parking

    Oxfordshire County Council proposes to provide additional, convenient and secure cycle parking facilities at various locations within the City centre. The proposals are being put forward to help encourage more cycling to and from the city centre.

  • Easington Estate & Springfield Avenue (Banbury) Proposed Weight Limit & Traffic Calming & Zebra Crossing

    Oxfordshire County Council proposes to prohibit goods vehicles with a maximum gross weight exceeding 7.5 tonnes from using the roads within the Easington Estate in Banbury. Also it is proposed to improve road safety in the area by constructing a raised junction table and additional crossing on Springfield Avenue.

  • Diamond Drive & Larch Drive (GWP, Didcot) Proposed Bus Gate

    Oxfordshire County Council proposes to introduce a Bus only ‘gate’ between the southern part of Diamond Drive & the northern part of Larch Drive in the Great Western Park residential development in Didcot. The proposals will allow for use by bus services and pedal cyclists and is aimed at preventing through traffic as well as ensuring local buses can service the southern neighbourhood effectively.

  • Watlington Footpath No. 36 Notice of Modification Order 2019 Ref: 03271

  • Safe Spaces for victims of domestic abuse in pharmacies

    Pharmacies are making their consultation rooms available as a safe space for victims of domestic abuse, from where they will be able to contact specialist services for support and advice. Hestia have rolled this scheme out within Boots and Superdrug pharmacies nationally and we're now exploring extending this provision across Oxfordshire

  • A40 London Road (Forest Hill) Proposed Layby Closures

    Oxfordshire County Council proposes to close both the east & westbound laybys on the A40 London Road in Forest Hill, on the outskirts of Oxford. The proposals are being put forward as a result of inappropriate parking & associated anti-social behaviour.

  • Queen Street (Oxford) Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (Cargo Pedal Cycle Exemption)

    Oxfordshire County Council has made an experimental Order which will operate for a maximum period of 18 months. The order permits Cargo pedal cycles to use Queen Street at all times.

  • B4020 Main Road (Alvescot) Proposed Traffic Calming Build-outs

    Oxfordshire County Council proposes to construct traffic calming measures on the B4020 Main Road Lane in Alvescot. The proposals are being put forward in conjunction with the parish Council in order to help improve road safety in the village.

  • A4130 (Didcot) - Proposed Toucan Crossing

    Oxfordshire County Council proposes to install a Toucan Crossing on the A4130 north of Didcot. The proposals are being put forward in response to the new development in the vicinity of the A4130.

  • Gillotts Lane (Harpsden, Henley-on-Thames) Proposed Traffic Calming Build-out & Road Narrowing

    Oxfordshire County Council proposes to introduce a traffic calming feature on Gillotts Lane in order to help improve road safety on the narrow rural lane. We are also proposing to reduce the width of the lane back to its original width, as over time it has become artificially widened by vehicles attempting to pass each other.

  • A361 Banbury Road southern end (Wardington) Proposed 30mph Speed Limit Extension

    Oxfordshire County Council proposes to extend the 30mph speed limit on the A361 Banbury Road at the southern end of Wardington in order to help further mitigate the expected increase in traffic associated with the HS2 rail development.

  • B4437 Forest Road, Windrush River & Ninety Cut Hill Bridges (Charlbury, Minster Lovell & Astall) Proposed Weight Restrictions

    Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make changes to the structural weight limit restrictions at various bridge locations within Asthall, Charlbury & Minster Lovell. This is pending the creation of a program of improvement remedial works (subject to finance).

  • New Young People's Supported Accommodation Services

    There will be a new Young People's Supported Accommodation Service from 1 October 2020. The service for 16 and 17 year olds will be delivered by OCC and we now know which organisations will be delivering the services which are commissioned.

  • Walton Street (Oxford) Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (Prohibition of Motor Vehicles)

    Oxfordshire County Council has made an experimental Order which will operate for a maximum period of 18 months. The order closes to motor vehicles the southern end of Walton Street at its junction with Beaumont Street and Worcester Street.
